Sue Sanderson

Sue has always been interested in art and craft and says that, from an early age, she always had a bit of sewing or knitting in her hands.
Sue’s mother was a water colourist and she inherited her materials. She started painting in 2006 and initially enrolled in a painting for pleasure class where she learned about different paint media.
Sue says her inspiration comes when she is walking in the Tysoe area, where she lives, and when she is on holiday. She also attends workshops to get ideas and encouragement and to learn different techniques.
Sue works mainly in watercolour but also some acrylic and pastels.
Sue moved to Warwickshire in December 2008 and joined Kineton Art Group, which she attends regularly. Since joining Kineton Art Group, Sue has exhibited each year in both the Open Exhibition in May and the Group Exhibition in October.
In 2010 Sue exhibited for the first time in Warwickshire Arts Week and subsequently exhibited her work in the 2012 Warwickshire Open Studios. She will be putting paintings on show again this year in Kineton Art Group’s forthcoming Open Exhibition [11th and 12th May] and in the 2013 Warwickshire Open Studios [June].
